Wondering if anyone knows of an online string tension calculator that also calculates the force required to fret the string?
An example might be a .013 steel string on a 25" scale being fretted at the 12th with .100" action height. It would be interesting to easily see how scale length and action height affect the "stiffness" of a string.
Thanks
Nelson

Wouldn't it depend ont he brand of string? How much core there is and how much wrap etc? (obviously this isn't applicable to the unwound strings)

That would be cool though.
